Kevin Labaj has been a Dunes coach for 13 years. In that time, he has coached many ages and levels throughout the dunes organization. Kevin has been playing volleyball for as long as he can remember. His mother was a coach for 38 years and says everything he knows about volleyball is due to her. He has played in various adult leagues indoors and outdoors and has been very successful.
He started his coaching career in 2002 at South Central High school coaching 7th and 8th volleyball. In 2006, he moved up to the head junior varsity coach position there. In 2007, he went to Marquette High school as an assistant coach where they won a state championship that year. The following year, he became the head junior varsity coach at Michigan City High School where he coached in that position for 4 years. Currently, he is the varsity coach at Washington Township High School where he has been for 5 years now. He has coached both girls and boys at Washington Township where he has set numerous records for both teams.
He currently lives in Michigan City and works at Blue Chip Casino. He recently got married this past May of 2016.
